Rapidan Dam Store: ‘We Will Be Open In Some Way Or Shape’
It's been a stressful few days for one Southern Minnesota business. The pie institution known as The Rapidan Dam Store, has been in business since the Rapidan Dam was built back in 1910. The Dam Store's owners home, which fell into the river, are now homeless, but that hasn't broken their spirit.
The post from The Rapidan Dam Store was heartfelt, and showed the perseverance of the family that runs the business.
I love this message from the Hruska family. I've seen that on the local news stations, there is a family 'spokesperson' who was speaking to the media, but having the actual business put out a statement like this only means good things, like staying open and serving up delicious pies, burgers, and shakes, albeit from probably a new location, based on the flood damage in the immediate area of the current location.
If you'd like to support the Hruska family and there business a GoFundMe has been opened in their name, you can find that page here.
Or you can mail a donation to a local bank, that way all of the money donated will go to the family for their needs.
