The Preakness, the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown series in horse racing, happens tomorrow, May 16th, at 5:50 pm tentatively.

There will be NO Triple Crown winner in this year's race, since Golden Tempo, the winner of the Kentucky Derby, isn't running, but it leaves the field wide open, and it's anybody's race.

Who will win the Preakness?

THE HORSES

14 horses are running in this year's Preakness Stakes, and their post positions and odds have been listed as follows:

1. Taj Mahal 5-1
2. Ocelli 6-1
3. Crupper 30-1
4. Robusta 30-1
5. Talkin 20-1
6. Chip Honcho 5-1
7. The Hell We Did 15-1
8. Bull By The Horns 30-1
9. Iron Honor 9-2
10. Napoleon Solo 8-1
11. Corona De Oro 30-1
12. Incredibolt 5-1
13. Great White 15-1

MY PICKS

I'm definitely not a pro at horse betting. But I have my eye on certain horses for a variety of reasons.

INCREDIBOLT

Incredibolt was one of my favorites for the Kentucky Derby. He finished in 6th but he is said to be a horse that has early speed, which are the races he apparently does best in. Ocelli is the only Kentucky Derby winner that outran him, and he is a two-time stakes winner. He just looks like he wants to win. He keeps coming back to my mind..so I'm going with Incredibolt.

GREAT WHITE

I'm intrigued by this massive horse. We know that he's got a lot of fire in him, and since he didn't get to run the Kentucky Derby, I feel like he might be ready to blow up the Preakness. Great White is a horse that you just can't gauge. His size apparently makes it a bit hard for him to get out of the gate, but I don't know if he needs to be first out of the gate to hang on for a win. If he wants it, I think that he could surprise everyone.

TAJ MAHAL

Taj Mahal is the local favorite, and he knows the track. It's my understanding that Taj Mahal has won on this track three times already, and he is fast. He drew post position 1, which we all know can cause a horse to be blocked from running. But if he kicks it down at the gate and maintains his speed, he might cruise on in to a first-place finish.

THE HELL WE DID

My final bet will be on The Hell We Did...partly because I love his name, and partly because he's been improving and I think he's on the rise. At 15-1 odds, he might be a great pay-off if people overlook his ability.

HOW TO WATCH 'THE PREAKNESS'

If you've got a desire to watch this amazing race, you'll be able to tune in to NBC or stream it on Peacock on Saturday, May 16th, 2026.

Coverage of the event will begin at 3 pm, with the race running at approximately 550 pm... Unless, of course, Great White decides to throw his rider before the race again. Let's hope this race has no drama.
