Popular Window Shade Recalled Over Child Safety Risk
Most people like their privacy when they’re at home. That is your space to be comfortable, and you are entitled to be able to relax without the fear of someone peering in on you.

You may want to choose something to help keep your privacy that fits the decor you have in your house, and one popular way to do that is with window shades.
If you have window shades in your house, you should check and see if they’re made by Joydeco, and if they are, have they been recalled?
What You Need To Know
Late last week, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Joydeco Roller Window Shades that sold exclusively on Amazon.com by the Shanghai Chushuo Electric Commerce Company.
The problem with these popular window shades is that there is a long cord which presents a risk of strangulation or entanglement to children.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the cords violate the federal regulations for window coverings.
Over 73,000 of these products were sold between 2021 and 2024 with a price tag that ranged from $25-$80. There have been no injuries or accidents reported to this point, but the issue has been discovered and needs to be addressed.
The sizes of these shades range from 20 to 70 inches with a height of 75 inches. Joydeco is labeled on the headrail of the window shade.
What's The Next Step
If you have one or more of these window shades, you should keep children away from it and then contact the Shanghai Chushuo Electronic Commerce Company for a refund or instructions on how to get a free replacement cord wand.
