Pete & Ashli Go Shopping And Buy Gifts For Needy Family [WATCH]

98.1 Minnesota's New Country adopted a family for Christmas through Catholic Charities' 'Share The Spirit' program.

We wanted to make the holiday extra special for a single mom and her two young daughters who have recently been hit by hard times. Our family was nominated for the program by a social worker or case worker who deemed this family in the most need this holiday season.

Catholic Charities sent us a wish list of three things that each of our family members wanted for Christmas and three things that they needed. We asked our listeners for help by collecting donations and we're proud to announce that we were able to buy our family nearly everything on their Christmas list. We were even able to provide them with a $100 gift card to Coborn's so they can splurge on a nice Christmas dinner to boot!

Thank you to all of our listeners who helped us make Christmas extra special for this needy family. Your help is greatly appreciated and definitely made a huge difference in the lives of three people in our own backyard.
