What's the story, Tori? Tori is today's Pet of the Week from Tri-County Humane Society!

Tori is a neutered 5-year-old domestic shorthair/mix. Tori loves napping with her humans and sitting where she can look out the window. She loves toys with feathers, catnip, laser pointers, and spinning electronic toys! She loves to have her coat brushed, too. Tori is currently in a foster home with other cats that aren't being nice to her, so she's now terrified of other cats. She does well with older kids, but younger kids that don't understand boundaries are a no-no. Tori would do best as the lone Queen Fur Baby in a household. Book Buddies Reading Program

Pets love to be read to. If you have a kiddo (age 5-15 years preferred) in your household who would LOVE to read to a shelter resident, then the Book Buddies program is for you (them)! Pets don't care about mispronounced words, and it's beneficial for both the kiddo (who gets practice reading aloud) and the resident, as shelter life can be stressful.
