The City of Ramsey published some highlights from the City Council Meeting on July 8th, and one of those highlights shared was that the council approved a resolution that would green light a Chipotle to come to town.

Chipotle On The Way To Ramsey

The Ramsey City Council, according to highlights posted by the City of Ramsey on social media, approved a resolution that allows a Chipotle to be built on Armstrong, giving residents a closer-to-home option than the four other closest Chipotles, located in Elk River, Maple Grove, Rogers, and Champlin.

The restaurant will be situated at 14701 Armstrong Boulevard NW. The project that was approved by the council will result in a "2,330-square-foot commercial building for Chipotle, along with 46 parking spaces, a 400-square-foot outdoor dining patio located on the west side of the building, and a drive-through lane that wraps around the west and south sides of the building."

Years Of Headaches From Construction

The area in which the Chipotle will be going in has seen alot of changes over the last several years. Armstrong Boulevard just wrapped up its construction along Highway 10 last summer, and now this summer, Highway 10 and Sunfish Lake Boulevard, and Ramsey Boulevard are going to be under construction for the next two summers as part of the 'Gateway' project.

You can learn more about this current project through the Anoka County website, which indicates that there are planned Highway 10 overnight closures coming up later in July, weather permitting.
