POPULAR PETS THIS YEAR

There are places that certain animals are supposed to live. Some that are not really supposed to be 'domesticated.' Yes...I know...Who am I to say what kind of animal makes the list of 'non domestics.

TOPPING THE LIST

Most of the pets on the list are expected. Dogs, cat and fish are at the top of the list. Hampsters, gerbils, mice, and snakes made the list after the top picks with only 2% of the population owning them.

NON FURRY FRIENDS

At 1%, guinea pigs, geckos and various lizards.

NEW FURRY FRIENDS

They've now added to the 1%, Tarantula's!  Fuzzy, 8 legged, creepy crawly, spiders!  Seriously....Some animals belong outside of an aquarium in your house..like maybe at the zoo....or a traveling zoo. I get it...I should be more open...but we all have fears...and spiders certainly freak me out. They surely don't seem to be loving, cuddly creatures, because...well..THEY'RE NOT.  I know what your saying. "Kelly...Tarantula's are big, fuzzy slow moving spiders. We're not saying you have to be friends with a brown recluse."

I know...I need to work with someone to  overcome my phobia. But I think I have a legitimate reason to not want these creatures as pets. I'm not saying I don't want to share the planet with them. Sure I do! Just not my house.
