Clearly, there's been a mistake.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was just named one of the worst airports in America in 2019 by The Points Guy (whoever that is).

That's interesting, considering that just five months ago the Airports Council International (ACI) named MSP the best airport in America for its size for the third year in a row.

A conundrum, if ever I've heard of one.

So, who's right?

Well, for starters, The Points Guy ranked his list of 50 best/worst airports in America -- in part -- by "reader feedback" and "TPG staff’s experiences." Sounds real credible to me. Additionally, a "wider range of elements" including sustainability and connection to the community were "painstakingly pored over." Much credibility...very wow! (*sarcasm*)

The top five airports in the country according to The Points Guy are:

1. San Diego International Airport
2. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
3. Portland International Airport
4. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
5. Sacramento International Airport

Minneapolis-St. Paul International only ranked 28th best, technically putting it in the "worst" half of the country's airports.

In contrast, ACI named MSP the best airport in 2019 serving 25-40 million people per year in North America (may I remind you for the third year in a row).

"MSP Airport’s consistently high ranking underscores the effective public-private partnerships at the airport and the airport community’s shared commitment to providing the best experience possible for travelers,” Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) CEO Brian Ryks said in a press release.

MSP was also named Best Airport for Dining by 10 Best and second best airport for shopping in the USA Today Readers' Choice awards.

Sorry, Points Guy, but you're going to have to do a better job of convincing us MSP is as bad an airport as you claim it is.
