MN Renaissance Festival Extends Parade Through Mid-October
Organizers of the largest Renaissance Festival in the U.S. have announced an extended run of this year's alternative parade-event.
"We couldn't let it end, we had to extend!" says the Minnesota Renaissance Festival on social media. Two more weekends have been added to the drive-thru parade event that was originally supposed to end after this upcoming weekend. Those new dates are October 10-11 and October 17-18; there are also limited tickets available still for this upcoming weekend.
This year marks the first-ever Minnesota Renaissance Festival on Parade following changes to large events due to COVID-19. The parade is touted as "a drive-through experience featuring over 30 of your favorite Festival foods" as well as "exciting entertainment, featured artisans, and a chance to support Minnesota’s great Renaissance Tradition from the comfort and safety of your vehicle!" Organizers recommend planning for a multi-hour experience along a 2.5 mile leisurely route through the realm. Tickets are $20 per vehicle and include a goodie bag filled with surprises from sponsors and partners.
For those unable to attend the drive-thru parade, the Festival also offers Festival in a Box options to enjoy at home. Boxes include 2020 a Commemorative T-Shirt, Stein and Two 2021 Festival Tickets and are available to purchase here. Visit the official Minnesota Renaissance Festival website for all details.
