When you think of Easter treats, if chocolate bunnies, Cadbury Eggs, Peeps and other candy comes to mind, you apparently haven't been spending enough Easters here in Minnesota.

Because the results of a new survey on just which Easter treat is each state's favorite shows that it's not candy at all that tops the list of things we like to treat ourselves to here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

We know this, thanks to the hard work of the data-crunchers over at Zippia, a resource site for job seekers. They used data from Google Trends to determine just which Easter treat each state tends to eat a lot of. A disproportionate amount, even.

Now, if you're like me, you might wonder just what exactly what an 'Easter treat' is. Well, Zippia says they narrowed their search for Easter treats as the treats that peaked in search volume around Easter. They then looked at which treat is searched-for, in a disproportionately high amount, in each state.

And here in Minnesota, our favorite Easter treat isn't a chocolate bunny, jelly beans, Cadbury Eggs or even Peeps. Our favorite Easter treat is... a hard-boiled egg. I know, right?!? It's not Easter until you dye some multi-colored eggs, is it? I'm not sure I'd call hard-boiled Easter eggs a 'treat,' though, given Zippia's methodology, it totally makes sense-- and they sure are an Easter classic.

Hard-boiled Easter eggs aren't only popular here in Minnesota, Zippia says they're the most dispropropriately-eaten Easter treat in 13 other states as well, including my home state of Wisconsin. They're also tops in North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio and more. Down in Iowa, the Starburst Jelly Beans are the top-rated Easter treat, and in South Dakota, Cadbury Eggs take the top spot.

Dyeing eggs for Easter is one of those time-honored holiday classics we do every year here in Minnesota, and I'm pretty sure my mom still has a bunch of those wire egg holders we'd use to dip the egg in various cups of multi-colored Paas dye. Speaking of things we all mysteriously have a lot of, keep scrolling to a list of 15 things that seem to multiply in our homes!

Not sure why, but people in Minnesota and Wisconsin have more than one of these 15 items.

If you walk through a house in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Iowa, there is a very good chance that you will see some items more than once. Yes, we are talking about those duplicates that we have that we aren't always sure why...but we just have a tough time getting rid of the extras.
