Minnesotans Can Expect Six More Weeks Of Winter
Happy Groundhog Day! Punxsutawney Phil came out of his burrow this morning to give us his annual weather prediction. He saw his shadow this morning, and that means six more weeks of winter is in store for us tough Minnesotans.
The groundhog tradition started in 1886, making this the 131st time that Punxsutawney Phil gave us his winter forecast. If you're bummed out about the news, don't worry too much. In the last 30 years, he's only been right about half of the time. There's some pretty good odds that we'll have 12 more weeks of winter here in Minnesota!
