DETROIT LAKES MAN MURDERED IN AFRICA

My heart is broken for a family of five children from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The children have lost their father, Beau Shroyer, 44 in a murder that happened while they were all residing in Angola, on a Christian Missionary trip. Not only that, their mother, Jackie Shroyer, has been charged with their father's murder.

But was she really behind the crime, or is Jackie just the mule behind an organized attempt at gaining $50,000 from the couple, by portraying Jackie as a woman having an affair and wanting her husband killed?

Beau's obituary read, 'He became committed to finding ways that he, alongside his family, could serve the Lord by providing love, inspiration, and kindness as well as life's necessities to the children and families in Africa.'

THE CRIME SCENE

I'm not an investigator, but the evidence found at the crime scene seems overly suspicious, and with Jackie being found at the scene in distress, with a bag of money and a knife? SIM USA said that Jackie Shroyer was being represented by an Angolan attorney as well as two American attorneys, and that the FBI and State Department are aware of this case.

We aren't hearing Jackie's side of the story. A spokesperson for the investigation service has said that, 'strong suspicions of a romantic relationship betweeen the person who ordered the crime and her accomplice, the guard at the couple's residence."

JACKIE SHROYER'S MOTIVES

The spokesperson also said that police were investigating Jackie Shroyer not wanting to leave Angola at the end of her husband's mission as a possible motive.

The ACIS (Angolan Criminal Investigation Service) said that Jackie was suspected to be behind the crime, and that a $50,000 payment was promised to be made to the accomplices who murdered Beau.

THE MURDER SCENE

Beau Shroyer was found in a bloody car in Thienjo on October 25th, with Jackie, at the scene, and supposedly a knife, purchased in the US, was used in the murder. There was supposedly 2.5 million kwanza found as well, which is about $5,000. Jackie was said to be 'distraught.'

Jackie Shroyer posted frequently according to an article with NBC News. The last post was made just a few days before the murder happened.

My understanding is that the children are all back in the United States and being cared for by SIM USA. Jackie has been charged with the murder. She is in custody and will remain in Angola. Her trial will happen in the next six months.

OTHER SUSPECTS

Bernadinao Isaac Elisa, a security guard for the couple, was named as a suspect and arrested in November, along with Isalino Musselenga Kayoo, was behind the killing of Beau, and was called 'The Mastermind behind the killing' by police.

Another suspect named Gelson Guerreiro Ramos, 22, was still on the run.

The story didn't say anything about any of the other individuals involved being charged with anything.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
