Minnesota Wild Shutout by the Predators in Nashville
The Minnesota Wild (45-25-8) lost to the Nashville Predators (40-27-11) 3-0 this afternoon in the Music City. Despite having the NHL's worst record in March, the Wild have clinched a playoff spot with four regular season games remaining.
This will be Minnesota's fifth straight playoff appearance, and eighth overall. It is still to be determined who the Wild's first round opponent will be. If the playoffs started today the Minnesota would face St. Louis in the opening series.
Next the Wild face the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow night (4/2) at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
