Minnesota Wild Fall to Visiting Capitals Tuesday Night
The Minnesota Wild (11-5-2) returned home from their prolonged road trip, only to lose to the Washington Capitals 5-2 last night in St. Paul.
The Capitals had a 3-0 lead in the second period before the Wild finally got on the board thanks to a goal from Mikko Koivu (3). The Caps would go up 5-1 before Matt Dumba (6) scored in the third, but that's where things would end.
The Capitals out-shot the Wild 33-28, with Devan Dubnyk making 28 saves for Minnesota.
Next: The Wild host the Vancouver Canucks Thursday night (11/13) at 7:00 PM CT at the Xcel Energy Center. (TV: FSN, Radio: 1240 WJON)
