Minnesota Wild Erupt for 7 Goals in Win at Florida
The Minnesota Wild (43-17-6) beat the Florida Panthers (29-26-11) 7-4 last night in the Sunshine State. After trailing 4-3, the Wild netted four third period goals, including a pair of empty-netters to get the win.
Scoring for the Wild were Jason Zucker, Eric Staal (2), Jason Pominville, Zach Parise, Mikael Granlund, and Charlie Coyle.
The Wild are three points ahead of Chicago in the Central Division, with the Blackhawks having played one more game. Minnesota also retains the top spot in the Western Conference, just three points behind the NHL's best of 95 by the Washington Capitals.
