Minnesota Wild Battle Back to Beat Kings in OT
The Minnesota Wild (40-14-6) came back four times to finally beat the Los Angeles Kings (30-27-5) 5-4 in overtime last night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Mikael Granlund scored the game-winner just twelve seconds into the extra period.
Last night was Granlund's 300th NHL game -- and scored his first career overtime goal, just one day after turning 25.
Last night was the ninth consecutive time the Minnesota has won following a loss this season. The Wild remain three points ahead of Chicago in the Central Division, and Chicago's played two more games.
