With all eyes on the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Timberwolves, there were some of us that were cheering on our newly formed Professional Women's Hockey League. Last year, Minnesota brought home the very first Walter's Cup. The excitement created by Minnesota Women's sports teams has been exceptional because of that win, and now, our Minnesota Frost have fought back to become two-time Walter Cup champions!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS AGAIN - MINNESOTA FROST

How proud we should be in Minnesota right now! Our Minnesota Frost have brought home the crown two years in a row, and none of us saw it coming. It took the awhile to make the playoffs, being the last time to do so, but I kept saying, "They are the Minnesota Frost. Don't count them out!"

MINNESOTA FROST'S RELENTLESS FIGHT

I was watching the game last night, and if you've never watched women's hockey before, you're missing out. I'm a huge fan of our Minnesota Wild, but these women have some killer moves out there, and they were skating fast and shooting hard.

The Minnesota Frost had a tough battle with the Ottawa Charge, with all of the games going into overtime. Game three went into triple overtime, which, as it stands right now, is the longest game in PWHL history.

FOUR GAMES IN A ROW GO INTO OVERTIME

The final score of game four last night was 2-1. Again! The announcers last night said that there has never been four games in a row going into overtime, finishing 2 to 1.  See the winning shot in the video below around 11:08.

THE WINNING TEAM

Liz Schepers scored the overtime goal. Goaltender Maddie Rooney made 33 saves for the Minnesota Frost. She was amazing to watch. She's very smooth, and her reflexes are crazy fast.

I'm excited to see what will happen with the PWHL over the next couple of years, and excited for all the girls and women that are in school playing hockey right now, dreaming of one day being a professional women's hockey player, and hopefully one of our very own Minnesota Frost.
