Country newcomer Lucy Hale first found success on television, starring in ABC Family's 'Pretty Little Liars.' So, when another actress-turned-songstress Jana Kramer -- formerly of 'One Tree Hill' -- gave her some advice, Hale made sure to listen up.

Hale, who was born and bred on country, says that music is her first love. But sometimes, it can be tricky to go from one successful career (which in her case, is acting) straight into another sector of entertainment.

Kramer would know the difficulties -- after all, she left 'One Tree Hill' to hone in on her music career. She's now working on upcoming new album, but it hasn't been an easy trek to build her country music platform from the ground up.

Needless to say, Hale would be wise to heed her advice.

"She did give me some great advice. She's like, 'They're going to put you through the ringer. It's going to be especially hard for you; it's going to be a little different considering what you're known for,'" Hale dishes.

The 'You Sound Good to Me' hitmaker notes that the songstress was very supportive and kind, which is always heartening to hear.

Perhaps while they're gabbing about career advice, the two gals can also commiserate on how frustrating love can be. Kramer's engagement to Brantley Gilbert ended in August, and Hale very astutely confirms, "I'm single."
