Little Falls Camp to Teach Kids About Horses
Horses are so beautiful. These powerful, graceful creatures have been a major part, and I feel an underappreciated part of the development of our country.
My granddaughter, who has special needs, did Equestrian therapy for a while and it was such an awesome experience for her. The experience taught her how to approach a horse, and being able to ride one was great for her confidence and her balance issues. She still has a love for horses and what they bring to our lives.
If you have a child who you would like to help learn more about horses and how to properly care for and handle them, this is a great opportunity for you and your child.
There will be a “Beginner Kids Camp” to teach kids how to safely ride, care for and handle horses and ponies. This camp will be for kids six and up and held in Little Falls on Saturday October 12th from 1-4pm.
During this three-hour session, your kids will have hands-on exposure to horses and learn from caring counselors who want to help all children have love and respect for them.
Your child will need to bring their own water bottle, plus make sure they are wearing long pants and are wearing closed-toed shoes for their safety.
The cost of the camp is $100 per child.
The host site for this camp is Mielke Farm in Little Falls. They raise beef and sell meat from their farm. They also raise Quarter Horses and offer trail rides on their property.
