Are you familiar with the Savannah Banana baseball team? They are a unique product that is traveling across the US and they are focusing on the entertainment side of sports, but don't think that these players aren't athletic. From short dance routines before a pitch to batting on stilts, the Bananas have changed sports entertainment. Did you know there is a St. Cloud connection to the Bananas?

From the St. Cloud Rox to the Savannah Bananas

Kyle 'KJ' Jackson, who hails from Bowling Green, Ohio, spent the 2023 season with the 'hometown' 9, after spending time at Kent State. Jackson, in the regular 2023 season, played in 51 games with a batting average of .269. He brought in 35 RBIs with an On-Base percentage of .426.

Two seasons removed from the Rox, Jackson now finds himself on a different team, playing baseball differently. Jackson now plays for the Savannah Bananas, and he seems to be front and center for a lot of the on-field and off-field action. Check out his Instagram for more proof!

Professional Ball Players Have Come From The Bananas

According to the team's website: "Current and former MLB stars such as Jonny Gomes, Bill Lee, and local Savannahian, Josh Reddick, have all played with the Bananas professional team."

Will KJ Jackson see the bright lights of an MLB stadium wearing one of those jerseys? Maybe, but right now it seems like he is just having fun playing the game he loves, for a team that loves to entertain the fans of 'banana ball'.
