Northern MN Community Will Soon Be Hearing "See You Next Time"

It looks like it's finally happening. The question has been asked for quite a while. When will Kwik Trip be opening in Baxter?

Back in April 2024, I told you that Kwik Trip was heading north to the Brainerd/Baxter area. At that time, Kwik Trip had applied for a site development review. According to the letter to the city, the investment in Baxter would create 25-30 jobs in the area, generating around $500,000 per year in payroll.

CONCRETE IS BEING POURED

It appears that concrete is finally being poured for the Kwik Trip location, according to a local driving through the area.

When Kwik Trip opens, it is expected to be a 24-hour store at the corner of Edgewood Drive and Novotny Road, located just off Highway 371 North.

UNFAMILIAR WITH KWIK TRIP?

If you are not familiar with Kwik Trip convenience stores, you are in for a treat. They offer the best in bakery goods and a surprising number of grocery items. I've been in the store many times and have heard people exclaiming how they can't believe that they had the item they were looking for. From bread to bananas, fresh meats, frozen goods, lottery tickets, and gas and diesel fuel, you're going to appreciate having this great location in your neighborhood.

OFFICIAL OPENING DAY FOR BAXTER

We haven't been given an official opening date yet, but you can bet that if the concrete is in the process of being poured, they are in the process of looking for team members to join their great company, and those people will be enjoying 40% profit sharing and a 401 (k). It's a company that treats its employees with respect and expects them to be the best they can be.

You can watch the Grand Opening of the Baxter store by clicking HERE. Right now, they are excited about opening Kwik Trip #226 in Farmington, bringing the company to 898 stores to date. The next Minnesota store to open will be in Rosemount on August 14th. My guess is we will have our Baxter opening this early fall.
