Artisan Pastries – The Latest ‘Deliciousness’ to Arrive At This Convenience Store
Last Saturday, I had a last-minute music gig on a patio during one of the hottest afternoons we’ve had.
The evening started with a nice breeze, which was a relief, but about an hour in, that breeze vanished. Now, I usually sing better when I’m warm rather than cold — but by the time I finished, I was absolutely starving.
WHAT...IS...THIS????
After packing up my gear and hitting the road, it was nearly 10 p.m. I figured I’d swing through a drive-thru for a quick bite, but every single one was packed with cars! Who knew St. Cloud’s late-night dining scene was this lively?

A KWIK STOP AT KWIK TRIP
So I pushed on toward home and stopped at Kwik Trip, thinking they’d have plenty to satisfy my hunger.
I grabbed a slice of pizza and picked up some Bisquick, sausage, and half & half. (Gotta make breakfast for my boyfriend the next day, right?)
ARTISAN PASTRIES
But while waiting in line to pay, something new caught my eye. No, not the fudge I discovered a few weeks ago. This was something even more tempting: Kwik Trip’s brand-new Artisan Line of pastries. (I'm not kidding).
They had a tempting variety, including what looked like:
Strawberry Cheesecake Crowns
Maple Pecan Braids
Chocolate Chip Custard Twists
WHATEVER THEY'RE CALLED
I might be off on the names, but trust me, they looked amazing. I took home a box of the Strawberry Cheesecake Crowns. The package included three delicate pastries in a box that were light, flaky, and just sweet enough. The flaky pastry paired perfectly with the rich cream cheese and strawberry filling, and it was a real treat. (FYI: each pastry clocks in around 330 calories.)
I wanted to try them all, but figured one sweet indulgence at a time is better for my waistline!
Have you tried Kwik Trip’s new artisan pastries yet? If not, you might want to swing by soon. They’re worth a taste.
