You may not recognize the name Kristin Chenoweth, but you may recognize some of her work. She's an award winning Broadway actress, a television and film star and one heck of a great singer.

The first time I ever heard of Kristin was when she starred on Broadway in the musical Wicked. I have to say, this is by far my favorite Broadway show and have seen it 5 times - once while Chenowith starred as Galinda the Good Witch.

The next time I saw Kristin in anything was when she played on ABC's Pushing Daisies - a short lived comedy where her role was an obsessed co-worker who would go to great lengths to try to woo the man of her dreams.

Most recently you have seen her in Fox's Glee playing a recurring role of a former glee club member who took the wrong path in life and ended up on the broken road.

It doesn't matter what Kristin is in on screen or on Broadway, she gives a stellar performance and has the voice of an angel. In fact, Kristin has released three albums since 2001 and a Christmas album that should be in your collection.

Today, Taste Of Country reports that Kristin will release a country CD on September 13th. It makes sense that she would enjoy country music as she grew up in Oklahoma and some of her inspirations are Reba and Dolly Parton. The only question I have is, what will it sound like?

Kristin's voice is perfect for Broadway or any big production musical number and on her previously released album you could hear the years of big musicals coming through in each track. When she tries to combine that with the country style it could really go either way.

Check out the scene from Wicked and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Do you remember when Carrie Underwood did her All Star Special for ABC? Well, Kristin was there and sang with Carrie during a skit for the show.

I find it interesting that more and more stars are trying their hand at country. We've seen Gwyneth Paltrow, Darius Rucker, Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker and even Sheryl Crow make a go at country and really the only one so far that has had success has been Darius.

I think the biggest question is will the country audience give Kristin a chance or will they write it off as just another star trying to make a go in country? What do you think? Will you give her a chance or have you written her off already?
