Kelly Clarkson is releasing her first solo single to country radio next month, and it will likely sound familiar to her most loyal fans. ‘Mr. Know It All’ was a Top 10 hit on the Billboard charts in 2011, but the singer has retooled the song for her country audience.

“Hey everybody, I got to work with Dann Huff and recut ‘Mr. Know It All’ for country radio!” the singer tweeted on Wednesday morning. “I hope y’all like it!! I had a lot of fun recutting the song and getting the opportunity to work with Dann!”

The single will be released to iTunes on April 3. A version of the recording leaked to YouTube in January. It’s not clear if that version (below) is the final version, but if so, the country song is a little slower than the original, with mandolin and fiddle added for some Nashville credibility. The original song was recorded in Music City one year ago.

This is not Clarkson’s first grip on the country music scene. Previously, she has recorded duets with Jason Aldean and Reba McEntire. She’s also working with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert on ‘The Voice’ and is rumored to be dating McEntire’s stepson.
