Join the Ski Patrol Team

Well, it hasn't stuck around yet, but I'm putting my money on getting some snow this winter. Once it's here, the Stearns County Parks Department will need cross-country ski patrol volunteers. Volunteers can sign-up online and will get a free Quarry Park annual sticker.

Cross-country ski patrol volunteers provide information to skiers, record observations and provide needed assistance. Ski patrol volunteers monitor and report conditions at four County parks:

• Kraemer Lake/Wildwood Park
• Mississippi River Park
• Warner Lake Park
• Quarry Park

As a thank-you, patrol volunteers will receive a free Quarry Park annual permit for every two dates you patrol (max 4 dates/2 permits).
