History of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train started back in 1999. Each year, they collect donations for community food banks in the US and Canada where the train passes through.
Since 1999, they have "raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food" for people in need.

At each stop during the holiday season, the Holiday Train collects "monetary or heart-healthy" food donations for a local food bank at that stop. So if your family goes to check out the Holiday Train this year, don't forget to bring your donation.
