Timberwolves Bring Back a Fan Favorite Uniform
The Wolves announced that the Black Trees uniform will debut at the home opener on October 26. Not only will the players be rocking the throwback look, but the team will also be competing on a specially designed court to match the era. It’s more than just a uniform, it’s a full throwback experience.
A Nostalgic Nod to Timberwolves History
The last time the team regularly wore the Black Trees design was in 2008. Fans will remember it as the uniform from the Kevin Garnett era, when the Wolves became a household name in the NBA.
Now, with superstar Anthony Edwards leading the way, it feels like the perfect “full circle” moment for the franchise. The team will wear the Black Trees for 28 games this season, 21 at home and 7 on the road, including a tough opening stretch against the Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angeles Lakers.

Fans can also enjoy a new digital experience that highlights the Black Trees era with photos, artwork, player quotes, and behind-the-scenes stories. The experience is available through the Timberwolves app and online.
Meanwhile, new merchandise is on the way, with jerseys and other gear hitting the Timberwolves store and Target locations across Minnesota soon. For Wolves fans, it’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and excitement heading into a fresh season.
