Malibu Barbie Cafe Headed To Mall Of America In Fall 2023

The Barbie takeover continues, this time taking over the Mall Of America with a fun (and very pink) pop-up cafe. The mega mall shared the news on social media Tuesday (August 15th). The event comes on the heels of the record-breaking movie, hence the world domination.

The pop-up is billed as an immersive dining experience unlike any other. While there isn't an exact opening date at the time of writing, fans of the film can join the waitlist right now. Considering how Instagram-worthy this place looks, it will probably sell out. Your ticket comes with a ninety minute table reservation and a main dish and side. If you purchase a ticket, you will also get full access to the Malibu Barbie Cafe aside from your meal. There will be shared plates and desert available for extra cost. The restaurant is casual with a variety of fun drinks available for purchase as well.

In fact, the menu was created by Master Chef finalist Becky Brown. There is something for everyone on the menu and each item has a Barbie-inspired twist, per a press release on the cafe. The menu will include classics like burgers, fries and the like. Other options? An order of Pacific Paradise Pancakes, a West Coast Wedge Salad, and a California Dreamin’ Club Sandwich.

Those that get their Barbie on will also be able to purchase merchandise and take photos in a life-size Barbie box. There will also be music and skating, which is an add-on you can opt for. Skating is just a buck and proceeds will be donated to a local charity.

The pop-up will offer more than just a very pink interior! So what is the vibe of the pop-up, aside from all things pink? The pop-up will be designed after 1970s Malibu, featuring Barbie colors and what is described as "beachy motifs" with "retro glam" looks. A little California sunshine will come at the perfect time as fall rolls around in Minnesota!
