It's Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota, designed to remind and educate everyone about the seasonal threats from severe weather and how to best prepare for them.

It is also a great time to make and practice your emergency plan, and build or refresh your emergency preparedness kit.

Each day will focus on a different aspect on severe weather safety for the summer ahead.

  • MONDAY:  Alerts & Warnings
  • TUESDAY:  Severe Weather, Lightning, and Hail
  • WEDNESDAY:  Floods
  • THURSDAY:  Tornadoes
  • FRIDAY:  Extreme Heat
