Back in 2019, a group of Irish folk on the Youtube channel The TRY Channel gave us a pretty good laugh as we watched them trying Minnesotan craft beers.

Setting aside their preferred pint of Guinness, they sampled their way through some of Minnesota's more -- and less -- renowned breweries including Bent Paddle in Duluth, Modist Brewing in Minneapolis and Hammerheart Brewing in Lino Lakes, sharing their honest and unfiltered feedback and thoughts along the way.

Well, The TRY Channel is back with another video, and this one features a new group of willing participants and a new category of items to try -- Minnesota snacks. According to a letter submitted with the box of goodies, the snacks come from Minnesota's Largest Candy Store and are considered "old school Minnesota snack staples."

The first item the group tries is Twin Bing -- a round, chewy, cherry flavored nougat coated with a mixture of chopped peanuts and chocolate made ;by Palmer Candy Company in Sioux City, Iowa.

"There's just so much nut, right?" commented one of the video's guest panelists Shannon Keenan.

"This is actually very, very nice," agrees panelist Laura Gough. "But if you don't like peanuts, this is like you're worst nightmare."

"I think presentation could use a bit of work," says Colin Regan, "but the actual chocolate is pretty damn good!" The next snack for the group to try is a Pearson's Maple BUN Bar. Pearson's describes the candy as real milk chocolate, roasted peanuts and maple nougat. The group immediately get a laugh at the name "BUN."

"They're killing it with the names," laughs panelist Nicole O'Connor.

"Great names, great flavors," agrees Damon Blake.

"It looks like an overhead view of a frog," observed Regan. Many in the group agreed the maple flavoring was "way too sweet," "too much," and "overpowering." Other snacks featured include a S'mores-flavored Twin Bing and Minnesota's own Lift Bridge Brewing Mini Donut Cream Soda.
