I’m Glad I Didn’t Have to Celebrate Easter in Rochester
I was waiting for a massive winter storm all weekend. In both 2018 and 2019 the St. Cloud area had been dumped on over the second weekend of April. I remember the 2018 storm as being so bad we didn't leave the house for three days.
I noticed a very light dusting of snow in our backyard in Sauk Rapids on Sunday morning, but it was so light it was barely there.
I'm super glad I don't live down in the Rochester area. I have friends down there who sent pictures of what they had to deal with on Easter Sunday. They woke up to a blanket of white coating everything. They even had to get the snowblower out again to clear off the driveway.
Take a look at what the southern half of the state had to deal with this weekend, and cross your fingers that Central Minnesota doesn't have to shovel again this spring.
