Recently, I found a bucket list of the things I wanted to complete before I turned 50. Believe it or not; two years after I created this list, I've still not completed everything on it; but I'm getting closer.

CHECKED OFF THE LIST:

  • I'm performing again. Singing and playing piano as a solo artist, a trio with my sons and Nephew called "Power Cordes"  ...and working with a new group called FastTrack, Travis Peterson, Tony Ebner and Chris Garczynski; and sitting in with some of my great friends, like Comedian Jason Schommer and Todd Wohl. I'm blessed to have such great friends.
  • My "Beautiful Day" Radio Tattoo.  I designed my tattoo to reflect my love of music and attitude on life. Every day we have is a beautiful day...enjoy! I got this a couple years ago. No one can see it...BUTT me.!!!!
  • Bought a house. I wanted to give my children a home of their own. One that they can always call home. Last year; that dream came true.
  • Choose a Charity.  Tri County Humane Society is close to my heart. So is Grey Face Rescue & Retirement. Mr. Bean came from TCHS and Gloria from Grey Face.
  • Lose 10 pounds. I've actually lost about 32 pounds since I made this list. That will put me well within reach of my overall goal.
  • Spend more time with family.  I'm so happy to be back in Minnesota. To have the opportunity to visit with my parents, cousins, family and friends. I want to make sure Tanner, Mason, and Drew are healthy and happy. I DO miss my family and friends in Kentucky and wish I could visit them more.
  • The Kelly Cordes website will be completed. I'm working on having my own website that offers my voice over talents for documentaries, audio books, powerpoint presentations and more. Skilledvoices.com is up and running.
  • Stay Healthy, Happy and Fit.   I've been working out twice a week and feel so much better than I did a few years ago.

THINGS I STILL NEED TO DO & THINGS I'VE ADDED TO THE LIST

  • Be Completely Debt Free.
  • Take a trip to Oregon with my girlfriends. I want to visit my friend Amy in Oregon. She was one of my best friends growing up and I would love to travel and see her!
  • Get my finances in order. I want to make sure that if something happens to me, my kids and family don't have to worry about anything regarding my debts. I want to make sure the kids have a home they can live in and are financially taken care of should something happen before they are on their own.
  • Plan a Disney World Trip for my kids to see the new Star Wars World in a couple years.
  • Make sure my boys get their college education and fly the coop. Not that I ever want them to leave; but I want them to be prepared and do what they love.
  • Design My backyard into a serene paradise.  I want to build a Catio for Mr. Bean, and have a really nice tranquil place to chill out...patio, pavers, plants and fountains.
