Husky Men’s Hockey Opens with Sunday Win Over Mount Royal

The #4 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey team (0-0-0) opened it's season last night in an exhibition game against Mount Royal University with a 6-2 win at the Herb Brook's National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.

Scoring for the Huskies came from Jacob Benson, Jimmy Schuldt, Jack Ahcan, Robby Jackson, and a pair of goals from Nick Poehling.

The Huskies out shot the Cougars 40-17.

St. Cloud State opens it's regular season this weekend with a conference series at Alaska-Fairbanks Friday & Saturday night. The puck drops at 10 PM CT both nights. (Radio: 96.7 The River)
