Ready for Halloween? St. Cloud Costco Is – Too Soon?
Being that I have worked a lot of retail througout my working years, I do realize that the next big season or holiday is pushed a couple of months before it actually happens. But sometimes I think maybe it's pushed a little too soon.
IS THIS TOO SOON
Right now, most retail stores are putting any summer items on clearance, and getting ready for Back to School shopping. After all, we are on the latter half of the summer season. It's time for people to get ready for Back to School, supplies and clothing. Especially if your kids have grown througout the summer. New clothes are a definite need. Garage sales are great for that. Some things are barely used, and kids have outgrown them, depending on their age.

HALLOWEENERS
Halloween is the next big holiday. That is, after Labor Day and Back to School time. But that isn't until the END of October. Yes, people do put up decorations for the entire month of October, in some cases. But when you are getting those decor items out and for sale in the beginning of July, is it too soon?
I was just at Costco the other day, and saw these items. They are mostly lawn decor, and they are NOT inexpensive.
HALLOWEEN LAWN DECOR
HOLY CRAP! This thing is big, but it's only the top half of the skeleton. $250??? That seems like a lot to me. Is this the normal going rate for a Halloween lawn decoration? I get that it's supposed to look like it's coming out of the ground. But still...
Here's the front view of the same skeleton. It's pretty big. Am I just cheap??
Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern. I believe that it's made from resin, so it's not too heavy. When I saw this I thought it would be somewhere in the realm of about $40-$50. NOPE!
For the low, low price of $94.99 (basically $95) this pumpkin can be yours. It's got to be priced that high because it's Disney. Not sure if you have noticed or not, but Disney stuff can be pretty pricey. I mean, it DOES light up, but almost a hundred bones for this thing???
Is Halloween and other holidays getting out of control with pricing?
