GREAT Theatre Getting Ready to Open Swashbuckling Musical "Pirates of Penzance" [VIDEO]

The classic Gilbert and Sullivan musical “Pirates of Penzance” is the latest offering by St. Cloud’s GREAT Theatre company.

Theproduction is almost entirely performed in song, accompanied by a live orchestra.

John Gladen plays the “Pirate King.” He says they’ve been rehearsing for about 6 weeks, and the cast and crew has been “wonderful to work with.”

“Pirates of Penzance” will open at the Paramount Theatre on Friday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

It will run through next weekend, with shows at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. matinees on Sundays.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $18 for students.
