Great River Regional Library “Fine Forgiveness” Week in September
FINE FORGIVENESS WEEK - GET A FRESH START
The Great River Regional Library is offering a new program September 15th through September 22nd, called Fines Forgiveness Week. This is a week dedicated to eliminating fines and reinstating full library use privileges to those who could use a little help.
HOW DOES THE FINES FORGIVENESS PROGRAM WORK?
Simply stop by the library between Saturday, September 15th and Saturday, September 22nd, bringing any and all late books, dvd's, and other materials. No matter how long it's been, or even if the returns are damages, your fines will be forgiven.
WHAT CAN/CANNOT BE WAIVED
There are some exclusions. If you are not sure if your specific situation meets the requirements, simply talk to your Librarian to see if you can work out a plan.
Things that can be waived: Any debts incurred prior to 10/1/2011; Fines in any amount;Lost processing fees in any amount, no matter when they were incurred.
They cannot waive: debt collection fees, revenue recapture fees, lost library card fees, or lost item costs for items that have not been returned.
