Is the Walter Cup coming back home to Minnesota for the 2nd Year in a Row? Our Minnesota Frost are working hard to make it happen.

Last year was a huge step for Women's professional Hockey in the United States, and especially for us in Minnesota, as our women took home the ultimate prize: The first-ever Walter Cup. It's crazy to me that our Frost have been under the radar. Why? Many people are excited about and watching the Minnesota Timberwolves.

WALTER CUP CHAMPIONS FOR A SECOND YEAR IN A ROW?

People haven't been paying attention to what's going on in the PWHL.  Why? Earlier this year, it seemed as though the Minnesota Frost might not even make the playoffs, which could have caused some fans to tune out. However, make no mistake. Fighting for the win is what the Minnesota Frost have proven they can do. They have made it to the Walter Cup finals, and things are heating up! After being last year's champions, I was here saying, "This is our Minnesota Frost...They should NOT be underestimated,"  AND HERE THEY ARE! YES!

WHO WILL WE PLAY?

Amazingly, last night's game was the first game in the history of the PWHL that there were NO penalties in the game.

The Frost were the last team to get a run in the playoffs, and since making it in, they've been showing up strong.

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE PWHL CURRENTLY

The Minnesota Frost beat the Toronto Sceptres 4-3 in Overtime last night (May 14th, 2025) at Xcel Energy Center. They won the best-of-five series 3 to 1. Now the question is, who will be their competition in the final series for The Walter Cup?

Right now, Montreal is trailing 2 games to 1, with game four tomorrow night at 6 against Ottawa.
