If you have any outdoor plants, you'll want to think about what it will take to protect them from the cold again tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for portions of central Minnesota.

The Freeze Warning is in effect from 2 AM to 8 AM Monday morning, for low temps in the upper 20s.

The National Weather Service advises:

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

The Freeze Warning includes Kandiyohi, Meeker, and Wright counties -- as well as the entire Twin Cities metro. While Benton, Sherburne, and Stearns counties are not included in the Freeze Warning, the low temperature in Saint Cloud is forecast to drop to 27 Monday morning.

Temperatures are forecast to remain below normal through the middle of the week. The two-week outlook called for below normal temps for the first half of May.
