WHO CREATED THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE?

Have you heard of Ruth Wakefield? Apparently Ruth started making Chocolate chip cookies in the 1930's. We all think the Chocolate Chip cookie must have been the first variation of fun cookies, but actually it came after Ruth was experimenting with cookie dough looking for new recipes, and she came up with the idea after returning from a vacation in Egypt, and the Butter Drop Do Butter pecan cookie was the inspiration.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE VARIATIONS

I know that nothing beats a traditional Chocolate Chip Cookie on a good day; but these ideas are worth one batch. I've made chili pepper Chocolate Chip Cookies, and my latest creation; Bits O Bacon Chocolate Chip cookies! I made these yesterday, and wow! They were amazing!
