Forget Pumpkin Spice…What About Minnesota Maple?
IT'S A MINNESOTA THING
I don't really know why or when it happened to me; I never drank coffee except at my GrammaReen's house when I was kid. I loaded it up with milk and sugar and ate her delicious homemade cookies as I sat at her kitchen table and stared out the big window at the big white barn, and the flurry of my Dad working his butt off. I'm thinking that it must have been with the rise of all the coffee shops that I finally started drinking coffee on a regular basis. I will make coffee in the morning at my house and not drink a drop. I just love the smell of it. Now...I drink coffee black every morning. This transformation just happened by the way.
WHAT ABOUT MAPLE?
I was just going through my emails and found something that caught my eye. MAPLE flavored coffee's...yes...by a Midwestern coffee shop chain. And why not? I love maple! I love maple frosting...maple syrup...Maple cakes. Why is pumpkin spice so everything when maple is just as delicious and tasty?
WHERE CAN YOU FIND MAPLE COFFEE?
I love going to any coffee shop, but Carribou coffee not only just released their pumpkin spice everything, they also are featuring maple drinks. Maple Boudino, Maple Boudino cooler and their Maple Crafted Press. I haven't tried any of them, but I'm pretty sure I would like it.
MAKE IT AT HOME
How do you make maple something at home? A few different ways. Use your Maple flavoring that was left over from last fall. It's still good. Or...put a little cream and maple syrup in your coffee. It works!
