FOLEY -- Making it to the state tournament is the goal for every high school sports team. But for the Foley wrestling team it's become a tradition.

The team is making their 10th straight trip to state, something senior Driston Schyma takes great pride in.

"It's great, Foley's always been known for a solid wrestling tradition. Being apart of the team the last two years, it's been great," says Schyma.

The team and five individual wrestlers (Dylan Young, Nathan Garceau, Saylor Schmit, Mitch Trigg and Noah Lefebvre) will be competing at state starting Thursday. Senior Noah Lefebvre says he's looking to redeem last years loss.

"This is the fourth year I have been down there. Last year I lost my first match in individuals and I want to avenge that this year. In team we took second last year and we want to avenge that too," says Lefebvre.

About 1,400 student held a pep rally today Wednesday to support their team. Senior Austin Loehrer says it's amazing to have such strong community support.

"It means a lot to me to represent Foley. I think it also means a lot to our community, you look up in our fan section and it's better than any place in the state," says Loehrer.

The fourth seeded Falcons (31-8) will take on the 5th seeded Perham Yellowjackets (28-1) at 9:00 a.m. Thursday for a run at the Class AA title at the Xcel Energy Center .
