Popular Minnesota Outdoor Show Coming To Central Minnesota
Sometimes it takes a television crew from the Twin Cities to remind us just how special our own backyard really is.
The Emmy Award-winning outdoor show 'Minnesota Bound' crew is heading to the Lake Wobegon Trail region for a summer special that will air in July.
HIDDEN GEMS ALONG THE LAKE WOBEGON TRAIL
Over the years, 'Minnesota Bound' has visited many of the communities, attractions, and hidden gems found along the Lake Wobegon Trail.
Hosts Bill Sherck and Laura Schara, along with Millie the black lab, will be bringing those stories together in one special episode celebrating the trail and the people who make our region unique.

HELLO HOLDINGFORD!
If you live in the area, or just want to catch a glimpse at what's happening, they will be in Holdingford this week, filming segments that will connect viewers to some of the most memorable stops and experiences Minnesota Bound has featured throughout the Wobegon Trail corridor over the years.
The filming is happening at the Holdingford bike Trailhead.
The special will air on Saturday, July 11th, on KSTC-TV and Sunday, July 12th, on KSTP-TV. After that, you will also be able to watch it on the Minnesota Bound YouTube channel.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
The special will showcase many of the places that make this area unique, stories about the history of the Lake Wobegon Trail, visits to favorite trail stops, a look at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve, and even basket weaving at Avon Hills Folk School.
For those who may not realize it, the Lake Wobegon Trail stretches through several Central Minnesota communities and has become one of the region's most popular destinations for biking, hiking, local history, art, and outdoor recreation.
30 YEARS OF STORIES
What I find interesting is that Minnesota Bound has spent more than 30 years traveling the state looking for great stories, and this time those stories are happening right here in our backyard.
The program was founded by Ron Schara in 1995 and has aired every week since. The upcoming Wobegon Trail special marks the show's 1,176th episode.
If you're out near the Holdingford trailhead on Thursday, don't be surprised if you spot a television crew, a camera, and one very famous black lab hard at work having fun.
