As major cities around the world practice social distancing and follow voluntary or government-mandated stay home orders, some have taken on a fresh reset.

With fewer boats clogging the canals of Venice, people have been shocked to see dolphins reappear. The air in Paris has noticeably cleared of smog and nitrogen dioxide. Even Minneapolis has taken on a new -- if not eerily quiet -- new look.

A new video posted online by Travel sky agency Jordan Petra shows stunning aerial footage of Minneapolis at night during the COVID-19 quarantine. Shots of a pollution-free skyline reveal a full moon shining brightly; empty downtown streets flash green and red for no one in particular; audio commentary of major Minnesota sports highlights accompany nearly-haunting scenes of Target Center, Target Field and US Bank Stadium as they wait to be filled again with fans. A city usually filled with life and vibrance takes on another tone altogether thanks to a reflective piano soundtrack.

The video concludes with a quote from U.S. Vice President and Minnesota senator Hubert Humphrey, “Take heart, my fellow Americans. This is not the first time that our nation has faced a challenge to its life and its purpose. We must make this moment of crisis, we must make it a moment of creation.”

According to Pioneer Press, the video was filmed by cinematographers Jay Christensen, 24, of Minneapolis and Michael Welsh of Roseville. They filmed the video using DJI Inspire 2 drones from 9 p.m. to midnight April 11, 2020 and April 7 to capture the full moon.
