Dolly Parton is no stranger to the big screen with film credits including Steel Magnolias and 9 to 5. Plus, she has appeared on Broadway, appeared in television movies and shows, runs her own theme park and continues to tour the country performing every year. Now she will share the screen with Queen Latifah in the new Warner Brothers movie Joyful Noise. With the success of television's Glee and group competition show, The Sing Off, Joyful Noise is poised to be a success in theaters. Of course Dolly Parton fans will flock to the theaters to see her perform, same goes for Queen Latifah fans. But now you have a whole new group of potential ticket holders - the fans of Glee.

From the trailer, it looks like this movie will be a hoot. I just can't help but think of it as a cross between Glee and the movie Sister Act with a little bit of a Tyler Perry film thrown in. You have the struggles of young people trying to make their own way in life and prove themselves from Glee. Then you have the whole church choir saving the church aspect from Sister Act. Add to that the power struggle between Parton and Latifah from any Madea movie and you've got a recipe for funny.
