CHOKE CHERRY JAM?

Yes. Choke Cherry Jam! My Co-Worker makes Choke Cherry Jam and I begged him to sell me some; lucky for me, he kindly shared some of his 2019 supply and didn't charge me a thing.

GRAMMA GROW

My Grandmother Laura, We called her Gramma Grow, was amazing in the kitchen. One of my fondest memories was of her baking; breads, tarts, trilbies cookies, and her amazing jelly.

I remember her creations as Choke Cherry Jelly and Thorn Apple Jelly. I think she preferred Jellies over jams. I remember her making tarts, and she would alternate a teaspoon of Choke Cherry and Thorn Apple jelly for in each one she put out at holidays. She was also our baby sitter; so if there was extra; my cousins and I were lucky enough to sample them.

NO RECIPES

The thing is; probably like so many of your Grandma's; she really didn't use a 'recipe' for anything. She put in a little bit of this; a little bit of that. I don't remember her ever really sharing a lot of her recipes. I'm sure she never really thought there would come a time when she couldn't make them for us.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE YOUR JAM JELLY RECIPES?

My question to you is: did your Grandma give you a recipe for Jelly or Jam? If so, would you like to share? Feel free to send your pictures and recipes to: Kelly@minnesotasnewcountry.com, and lets carry on their tradition of excellence.
