Do Minnesotans Like Getting Gift Cards Or Money Better? [VOTE]

I'm already thinking about Christmas shopping and what I'm going to get people in my family this year. I'm notorious for giving gift cards when I'm just totally stumped and can't figure out a good gift idea for someone. I think gift cards seem a little more planned out than just giving someone money from your purse or wallet. That doesn't seem as thoughtful.

I was talking to my sister the other day and she just mentioned how she had a ton of gift cards in her purse leftover from her birthday in April. She always forgets she has them and doesn't understand why people don't just give you money instead. I had never thought about it that way. I also have gift cards in my purse that I've had forever that have gone unused.

It got me to thinking that perhaps I've been going about my gift giving all wrong. Do you like getting gift cards or money better?
