My son LOVES dinosaurs. He's obsessed...it's all he wants to talk about, think about and play make believe about. My mother-in-law heard that Dinosaur Adventure was coming to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in August and she knew she needed to get tickets.

Let me just say, it was a lot cooler than I thought it was going to be. Maybe it's because I really don't go anywhere anymore and it was just nice to get out of the house for a bit...but, it was definitely neat.

Dinosaur Adventure is a drive-through audio tour that features over 80 dinosaurs, some that are 40 feet tall. A few of the dinosaurs moved around, made noises and looked really life-like. You can just about imagine how excited my two-year-old was to see a giant T-Rex up close.

The whole event took about 15 to 20 minutes to drive through, which was about my son's attention span. It was a good length of time, especially for people with younger kids.

The only downside was, the wait time to get inside was pretty long. If you're planning on attending, plan for the wait--bring activities to do in the car. We must have waited for about 90 minutes. It was worth it though to see the look on Charlie's face.

They also didn't have concessions on hand, so bring your own snacks with you or eat beforehand.

Dinosaur Adventure is at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds now through August 16.
