Denny Hamlin Wins 2019 Daytona 500

Denny Hamlin has won the 61st running of the Daytona 500.

The win for Hamlin came in a two-lap green, white, checkered 'overtime' after a 25-minute red flag following an 18 car wreck with ten laps to go -- and another caution with just five laps to go -- followed by yet another red flag with two laps to go. At the time of the final restart there were just 18 of the starting 40 cars on the track.

The win for Hamlin is his second Daytona 500 victory, with the first coming in 2016.

I enjoy watching the racing and the drama as it unfolds, but for this Minnesotan the Daytona 500 means one thing -- Spring can't be that far away.
