It seems like lately there have been a few breweries that have been either closing, or just closing a taproom.  And in that case, some of their products would still be available at some local bars or in some cases, in local liquor stores.

IT'S NICE TO SEE THAT A BREWERY IS REOPENING

Two years ago, Dangerous Man Brewing closed their taproom.  And then a year ago, they announced that they would be shutting down their operations altogether.  That was sad.  And even though it kind of seems like a trend, it also seems like some of them are either reopening, or reimagining and then reopening.

Dangerous Man Brewing is opening soon in Northeast Minneapolis.

From KARE 11:

Dangerous Man announced Monday it will open a taproom again in Northeast Minneapolis, in the space currently occupied by HeadFlyer Brewing, on East Hennepin Avenue. HeadFlyer announced last month it would close its taproom but will continue brewing for bars, restaurants, and liquor stores.

SOUNDS LIKE THE TURNAROUND WILL BE RELATIVELY QUICK

So, since the space is already occupied by another brewery, there doesn't have to be a completely new build-out.  So that is a positive.  There will be less work, just basically a rebrand and they will be able to open in the new space.

Jeremy Kuhns is the new owner of the brewery, and the former owner, Rob Miller as the head brewer.

THERE WAS A PRESS RELEASE ANNOUNCING THE REOPENING AND MOVE

In a press release Monday, Kuhn said he was approached by the owners of HeadFlyer at the end of 2025 about buying their taproom equipment.

“As our children have grown and life’s demands have shifted, we began thinking intentionally about the future of HeadFlyer,” said HeadFlyer co-owner Amy Miller in a press release. “When we saw Jeremy’s announcement, it felt like the right partnership to help bring Dangerous Man back to Northeast Minneapolis.”

LOOK FOR A DATE LATER THIS SPRING FOR A REOPENING

The date for the opening is really not too far away, because it really is, as mentioned above, just a rebranding.  HeadFlyer will be closing on April 5th, and Dangerous Man Brewing is set to open later this Spring.  A solid date has not yet be determined.  But will be announced soon after the renovation of the brewery space.
