Happy Hour? Central Minnesota Bar Named ‘Dive Bar of the Month’
A Central Minnesota bar has earned the distinction of being named the June 'dive bar of the month' through an online vote. The bar, which won't earn anything for the honor, has been owned for decades by the same person and has been a welcoming spot for residents and visitors alike.
Have You Been To 'The Club' In St. Augusta?
Club Almar, owned by local legend Mary Prom, was named the dive bar of the month on the Minnesota Dive Bars social media page. Club Almar earned the honor through a simple process: a picture of the bar had the most likes when the voting window closed.

Club Almar had previously been nominated for the 'dive bar of the month' but was always the bridesmaid, never the bride, from what I've been able to find.
More Than A Bar
For those who have visited, Club Almar is more than a bar; it's a gathering spot for the community. With weekly meat raffles to benefit various organizations in the St. Cloud/St. In the St. Augusta area, it's not uncommon to see the parking lot full, with people crossing County Road 7 to go inside to support those organizations.
On top of all the local support Club Almar gives to organizations it's also one of the top spots in my opinion for some freshly popped popcorn to go along with a Twins game or simply listening to some music on a Sunday afternoon.
If you've never been to Club Almar before, bring cash, and check it out; after all, it is the June Dive Bar of the Month.
Congrats, Mary and team, on this online honor.
You can find Club Almar at 24617 Co Rd 7, in St Augusta.
